Union Minister Pralhad Joshi officially assumed additional charge of the Ministry of Education after the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. Speaking in Delhi, Joshi said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had entrusted him with the responsibility and that he has begun reviewing the ministry's functioning, holding detailed meetings with senior officials.
Calling it a "new subject" for him, Joshi said he would speak in detail after fully understanding the department.
