Iran has summoned Ukraine's senior diplomat after accusing Kyiv of attacking an Iranian commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea. Tehran says one sailor was killed and another injured in the strike, describing the incident as a violation of international law.
Iranian officials have called on the United Nations Security Council and the international community to condemn the attack. Ukraine says it targeted vessels allegedly transporting Iranian-linked military cargo for Russia. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has also accused Moscow of providing Iran with satellite intelligence to support military operations in the Middle East, a claim Iran rejects.
