The parade began on Saturday but was scheduled to resume for a second day on Sunday. Berlin's annual Pride event,Christopher Street Day (CSD), has been canceled after a police incident involving several injured people.
Hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets of Berlin to advocate for tolerance and diversity, culminating in a show on Saturday night at the Brandenburg Gate. Police have asked people to avoid the area around Tiergarten, saying a "major operation" was underway.
In a statement, police said multiple officers and Berlin Fire Department rescue crews were deployed in the Großer Tiergarten after a vehicle was believed to have driven into people there, injuring several.
