Joshi, who currently manages portfolios including Consumer Affairs, Food, Public Distribution, and New and Renewable Energy, steps into the role amid opposition demands for systemic reforms.
The Education Ministry faces challenges in making examination systems leak-proof and coordinating with state governments, as education is a concurrent list subject.
