Representatives of student protesters held talks with Union ministers regarding the ongoing agitation over the Eligibility cum Entrance Test paper leak. The primary demand for a Union minister's resignation was met following government action, which also included an overhaul of the Testing Agency through the removal of forty-seven officials.
Student organizers had also sought compensation for families of twenty-one students who died by suicide and the withdrawal of police cases against protesters. With the principal demand addressed and assurances sought on remaining concerns, protest leaders advised participants to return home. Central Delhi metro stations reopened as crowds at the primary protest site began to clear.
