Angmo, whose husband, Sonam Wangchuk, who had been on a hunger strike supporting the students, urged the ruling party to learn from the students what is the meaning of nationalism and Indian spirituality. “If anyone has shown what it means for India to be a Vishwaguru, it is our Gen Z," she said in a post on X, before adding that “the Hindu nationalist party", a veiled reference to the Bharatiya Janata Party, should learn from the youth the real meaning of being a “vishwguru".
“Maybe it’s time the Hindu nationalist party learnt a thing or two from these young Indians about Hinduism, nationalism, and what it truly means to be a Vishwaguru," she said.
