Police Crack Down On UP Man Posting Videos Of Children For Social Media Reach Published By, Last Updated: June 01, 2026, 11:30 IST Investigators found that several videos involving children were allegedly posted on Instagram between January 17 and April 6 this year. The accused, identified as Nabeel Hayat Ansari, is a resident of Kurauna village under the Aurai Police Station limits.
He was taken into custody late on Sunday night, according to a police source. The case came to light after a complaint was lodged with the district cybercrime police station through the Cyber Crime Reporting Portal in April. As part of the investigation, police traced the mobile number and email address linked to the social media account to Ansari, the source said. According to the FIR, Ansari allegedly recorded private videos of children without obtaining their consent and later uploaded them online.
Investigators found that several videos involving children were allegedly posted on Instagram between January 17 and April 6 this year. Following the probe, police registered a case against Ansari under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 67B of the Information Technology Act, which pertains to publishing or transmitting sexually explicit material involving minors.
