Speaking following a meeting between Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) representatives and government officials, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke discussed the ongoing student protests at Jantar Mantar. Dipke stated that while the government agreed to compensation for victims' families and assured no cases would be filed against peaceful protesters, the agitation will persist until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns over exam irregularities and student suicides.
Highlighting the nationwide scale of the movement, Dipke warned, 'if you don't listen on Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, then the youth of this country will demand the resignation of the prime minister of India.' He dismissed government proposals such as fast-track courts as mere gimmicks, insisting that accountability requires strict executive action. Dipke also expressed relief over climate activist Sonam Wangchuk ending his hunger strike while reaffirming his resolve to continue the fight despite police crackdowns and security challenges at the protest venue.
