(Photo: REUTERS) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Israel Katz ordered the Israel Defence Forces on Friday to demolish the home of the Palestinian gunman who shot dead an Israeli civil defence volunteer near the West Bank village of Tel earlier that morning, and to accelerate the regularisation of existing farms and the establishment of new ones across Judea and Samaria.

The victim, Benayahu Mellet, 32, was killed and four other Israelis were wounded after the attacker seized a weapon from a civilian security official during a confrontation, according to the Jerusalem Post. President Isaac Herzog offered condolences to the Mellet family. Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir called for demolishing homes in Palestinian towns linked to attackers. Netanyahu and Katz said security forces must be allowed to operate without obstruction.
