The Tamil Nadu government, on Friday (July 24, 2026), posted senior IAS officer Rajesh Lakhoni, who recently returned to the State cadre after Central deputation, as Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner of Land Administration.
He replaces R. Gajalakshmi, who was transferred earlier. During his Central deputation, Mr. Lakhoni, a 1992-batch IAS officer, served as Commissioner of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti since 2025.
The State government also transferred A. Sivagnanam, Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Public (Elections) Department and posted him as Commissioner, Disaster Management.
