Costs for pensioners in Jersey are rising, according to latest figures. A report by Statistics Jersey, external found inflation for pensioner households had reached 4.7%, according to the latest Retail Prices Index. This is up from 3.8% in June 2025 and above the island's headline inflation rate of 2.8%. The organisation said it was driven in part by the price of heating oil and other fuels increasing by 53.5% over the year, while domestic services, including gardening and cleaning, rose by 14.8%.
