According to government sources, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will not resign despite ongoing controversies and protests regarding the Testing Agency. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and the Democratic Alliance stand firm behind Pradhan, maintaining that his resignation would amount to running away from governmental responsibility. Sources indicated that Pradhan has delivered key reforms in the education system and will continue to execute his mandate.
While acknowledging discrepancies and issues in the NTA, the government has assured that all operational problems will be resolved within one month. The government plans to send a written response to the protesters and remains open to further rounds of dialogue. Additionally, government sources highlighted that significant action has been taken over the past month, leading to the crackdown and busting of several paper leak gangs.
Meanwhile, youth protesters continue to demonstrate at Jantar Mantar as the Centre refuses to accept the demand for Pradhan's resignation.
