As protests over the NEET issue continue, demonstrators have demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, one crore rupees compensation for families of affected students, and no legal action against peaceful protesters. While Education Secretary Vineet Joshi has been replaced, government sources confirm Minister Pradhan will not resign.
In response to the demands, the government highlighted the setup of fast-track courts, upcoming amendments to laws against paper leaks, and ongoing education reforms. Furthermore, the government assured that no action will be taken against peaceful demonstrators from the July 20 march at Jantar Mantar following talks involving emissaries such as JP Nadda and Dr. Jitendra Singh at the Constitution Club.
