Gandhi’s remark came after the government held a meeting with the Cockroach Janta Party representatives. He said, “The government is saying there is no use of pellet guns, but I can show you a victim here with me." The Congress leader used the remark to accuse the government of misleading the public over its handling of the ongoing student protests. He also reiterated his demand for Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should apologise to the country’s youth over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak.
