The couple has four kids. In an interview with The Economist, the host told Musk: “People say that you’re a racist". The Tesla boss outright rejected the claims, saying: “My partner is half-Indian. I have four children with her, one of them was named after a famous Indian physicist". Musk, the richest man in the world, noted that his company offers senior executive roles to people of “all races". “So I would say I’m not a racist. If you look at people that are employed at my companies, we have senior executives of all races. I don’t think there is any racism there". On Alliance With Donald Trump During the interview, Musk acknowledged that he had become too consumed by politics during his alliance with US President Donald Trump and his appointment as the chief of the ‘Department of Government Efficiency’ (DOGE) that aimed to slash federal spending, cut regulations, and eliminate perceived ‘government waste.’ “I got carried away, frankly," he said, adding: “I think instead of doing Doge, I would have basically worked on my companies".
On Being Anti-Muslim In the interview, Elon Musk was also asked if he was “anti-Muslim". The billionaire refrained from giving a direct response. Instead, he said: “If people are coming to a country with antithetical views, I am against that. I’m against rape and murder. I’m against the imposition of rules and laws that are contrary to what we’ve come to accept in the West."
