Mysuru airport has announced the commencement of operations under a new Car Parking Management System, inaugurated by P. V. Ushakumari, Airport Director, along with Raman Sharma, AGM (ATC), and Damu D., Senior Manager (Engineering – Civil), on July 23. The contract has been awarded to a private enterprise.
The initiative underscores the airport’s commitment to enhancing passenger convenience and delivering a seamless parking experience. Under this arrangement, the contractor will manage and operate the airport’s designated parking facilities, with a focus on safe and efficient vehicular movement within the premises; orderly regulation of traffic and parking of vehicles; maintenance of cleanliness and hygiene standards, and prompt customer assistance and service delivery.
The initiative is designed to provide passengers, visitors, and stakeholders with a secure, organised, and customer-friendly parking environment, thereby strengthening operational efficiency and service quality at Mysuru airport. The airport director emphasised that
the new system reflects the Airports Authority of India’s vision of continuous improvement in passenger amenities and infrastructure, aligning with its mission to provide a safe, convenient, and pleasant travel experience for all.
