The decision comes as activist Sonam Wangchuk's fast in support of students reached its twenty-sixth day.
Meanwhile, the central government has expressed readiness to engage in talks with the demonstrators to resolve the standoff. The party previously led a march toward Parliament and is now seeking to expand the movement across the country, signaling that the ongoing protest shows no immediate signs of ending.
