Opposition alliance leaders have initiated a protest march to Gandhi Smriti in New Delhi, escalating the political standoff over the NEET paper leak controversy. Members from various political parties gathered at a senior leader's residence before boarding buses for the march. The protest is held in memory of students who lost their lives following the NEET paper leaks and to show solidarity with those injured during a police crackdown on July 20th.
Heavy security, including the Rapid Action Force, has been deployed outside the residence to manage the situation. The political delegation includes representatives from multiple opposition parties who are demanding justice and accountability for the students. This development follows ongoing protests at Jantar Mantar, highlighting the continuing tension between the government and the opposition regarding the handling of the medical entrance examination and the subsequent police action against protesting students.
