Vijay Sales is offering an instant discount of Rs 7,000 on HDFC Bank, SBI Bank and ICICI Bank credit cards. This brings the effective price of the foldable down to Rs 1,67,999. Amazon is also running promotional offers, although the savings depend on the payment method.

Buyers opting for EMI transactions can get discounts of up to Rs 15,000 on select bank card offers. If you are not in a hurry, it may be worth waiting a little longer. With the Independence Day sale expected to begin soon, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 could receive even bigger price cuts, as premium smartphones often see deeper discounts during festive sales. The telephoto and selfie cameras remain unchanged. From the outside, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 looks almost identical to its predecessor. Samsung had already made the Galaxy Z Fold 7 significantly slimmer and lighter last year, so there wasn't much left to redesign. The Fold 8 is slightly thinner when unfolded but has the same folded thickness and weighs the same 215 grams despite packing a larger battery. One disappointment is that Samsung has not improved the durability rating. Both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 carry the same IP48 rating for water and dust resistance, while some competing foldables now offer stronger protection.
