Meanwhile, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman defended the government’s handling of the students’ concerns, saying action had already been taken against those involved in paper leak cases. The latest invitation comes days after JP Nadda held his first round of talks with CJP representatives Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka at his residence on July 20. During the meeting, the student leaders submitted a memorandum outlining their key demands, including the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, compensation for families of students who died by suicide following the alleged paper leaks, and the release of activist Sonam Wangchuk.
