Police said protesters moved from Jantar Mantar to Tolstoy Marg, pelted stones and threw bottles, injuring personnel before police and Rapid Action Force teams intervened. The Leader of Opposition backed the protesters and sought accountability for alleged action against students. A 21-year-old injured woman was taken off ventilator support and was conscious, with normal scan reports.
Police released footage showing assault and vandalism by some protesters. The Supreme Court refused urgent listing of a plea alleging police brutality, while the Delhi High Court issued notices to the Centre and Delhi Police on two public interest litigations.
