In an exclusive interview with India Today's Rajdeep Sardesai at Jantar Mantar, Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) Chief Spokesperson Saurav Das discussed the ongoing protests over the NEET exam irregularities. Das emphasized the movement's core demands, stating, "We want Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation." He also called for Rs 1 crore in compensation for the families of deceased NEET victims and the withdrawal of FIRs against peaceful protesters.
Addressing the government's offer for a second round of talks, Das confirmed their willingness to negotiate but insisted the government must approach them with an open mind, suggesting a neutral venue like the Constitution Club. He strongly denied allegations of foreign funding or political hijacking by opposition parties, asserting that the demonstration remains an organic youth movement. Condemning alleged police brutality, Das warned that the protests would only grow larger if their demands are not met, describing the agitation as a necessary political awakening for India's youth.
