Later, he packed her body in a suitcase before dumping it into a lake. To avoid suspicion, the accused booked an autorickshaw during the day and carried the suitcase to Ramohalli Lake, located in Southwest Bengaluru off the Mysuru Road. According to investigators, the accused later joined the search for the missing woman to avoid suspicion. Police suspect the murder was driven by online betting losses and debt.
