CEO to oversee temple’s day-to-day administration The CEO will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, coordinating administrative functions, supervising staff, and ensuring smooth management of the temple complex. The officer will report to the Trust’s General Secretary and is expected to play a key role as the temple prepares for growing numbers of devotees and expanding operations. The appointment comes as the Trust seeks to professionalise the management of one of India’s most visited religious sites following the consecration of the Ram Temple and the steady rise in pilgrim footfall. Eligibility criteria for the post- According to the Trust’s recruitment guidelines, candidates must • Be an Indian citizen. • Be fluent in both written and spoken Hindi and English. • Possess substantial administrative and managerial experience. • Be a practising Hindu and devotee of Lord Ram, as specified in the recruitment notification.
Earlier, the Trust had clarified that the position is open to both men and women, signalling that merit, not gender, will determine the selection. Selection process underway The Trust had invited applications earlier this month, setting July 18 as the deadline. Initial reports indicated that more than 1,000 applications had been received within the first 48 hours. The final tally has now crossed 5,500, making it one of the most sought-after religious administrative positions in recent years. The selection committee is expected to recommend a small number of shortlisted candidates to the Trust board. The governing body will then make the final appointment, with an announcement likely around Independence Day.
