The option to apply for affordable flats under the Telangana government’s Indiramma Houses scheme in Hyderabad (Core Urban Region) is active on the MeeSeva portal from Tuesday (July 21). The deadline to apply is August 10. The scheme for the Hyderabad region was launched on Monday (July 20). The estimated cost for construction of each of the flats — each spread over a built up area of 528 square feet (sft), with carpet area of 400 sft — is ₹11 lakh.
While the government would provide a subsidy of ₹5 lakh, the beneficiary has to contribute (tentatively) ₹6 lakh excluding the subsidy. People with household income up to ₹6 lakh can apply for the houses. Where to apply? People can apply for the house through MeeSeva Centres, its portal () or its services over WhatsApp number 8096958096. ₹10,000 EMD refundable The application fee is ₹100, and Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹10,000 has to be paid.
The EMD will be refunded if an applicant is not selected as a beneficiary of the scheme. The services were inaccessible on the MeeSeva WhatsApp number till Tuesday evening at least. Officials said that it would be made active. The details asked in the application included name, Aadhaar number, date of birth, annual household income, ward, circle, project locality.
