Land scam: TDP presses for arrest of former Speaker Thammineni, kin
The Telugu Desam Party’s Vizianagaram Parliament wing in-charge and Vizianagaram District Cooperative Central Bank chairman Kimidi Nagarjuna on Tuesday asked the police department to arrest
The Telugu Desam Party’s Vizianagaram Parliament wing in-charge and Vizianagaram District Cooperative Central Bank chairman Kimidi Nagarjuna on Tuesday asked the police department to arrest former Speaker Thammineni Seetharam and family members T.Vani and T. Chiranjeevi Nag immediately as their involvement in the alleged land scam in Srikakulam was proved beyond any doubt.
Nagarjuna said “The YSRCP leaders grabbed lands in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and other places during the Y.S. Jagan regime 2019-24.” Addressing the media, Mr. Nagarjuna said that the creation of forged documents and legal heir certificates at the behest of Mr. Seetharam was proved two days ago. He said that all the other seven persons in the case were arrested and the remaining accused, including Mr. Seetharam must be arrested immediately.
Nagarjuna alleged that the YSRCP leaders grabbed prime land on Ring Road although the records showed that the Pusapati family members were the legal heirs of the property. He alleged that the then YSRCP government tampered with records and handed over the land to YSRCP leaders on lease basis for the construction of a party office.
He asked the revenue and police departments to begin fresh inquiry and hand back the land to the Pusapati family.
