Months after the resignation of Poochi S. Murugan as Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB), the Tamil Nadu government has appointed V. Siva as the new Chairman of TNHB on Tuesday (July 21, 2026).
A Government Order issued by the Housing and Urban Development Department said Mr. Murugan had resigned from the post on May 5. On Tuesday, Mr. Siva also met Chief Minister C.
Joseph Vijay at the Secretariat in Chennai. Siva is the North Chennai district secretary of the TVK. He was also the party’s in-charge for the
Perambur Assembly constituency, from where Mr. Vijay was elected to the Assembly.
