CJP Parliament Protest: A day after clashes broke out during the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)’s protest march from Jantar Mantar to Parliament, the Delhi Police on Tuesday intensified the crackdown and registered at least four FIRs and launched an investigation into whether the violence was part of a larger conspiracy to disrupt peace in the national capital. Follow LIVE Updates While exclusively speaking to CNN-News18, Head Constable Naveen Ola, who sustained a serious head injury during the clashes with protesters claimed that miscreants may have fuelled the agitation. He said that the nature of the attack suggested that unruly elements were present among the protesters. “We cannot rule out the possibility of miscreants fuelling this protest," Ola said. Posted at Deshbandhu Police Station, Ola was deployed for law and order duty near Parliament Street from 7 am on Monday. He said the protest remained peaceful during the morning, but the situation changed in the afternoon when a section of the crowd allegedly attempted to break through police barricades and move towards Parliament.

These stones resembled the ones found on railway tracks," he said. Ola said he was struck on the forehead by a sharp-edged stone while trying to stop the crowd, suffering a severe head injury that required stitches at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. The injured officer said the Delhi Police Commissioner visited him at the hospital and commended his service. Speaking about the incident, Ola became emotional, saying his wife and children were deeply affected after learning about his injuries. Delhi Police Probe Larger Conspiracy Meanwhile, Delhi Police has registered at least four FIRs at Parliament Street, Barakhamba and Connaught Place police stations in connection with the violence. The cases relate to rioting, assault on public servants, and damage to public and government property. Sources said police are also examining whether to register a separate FIR on charges of criminal conspiracy. According to the police, one of the FIRs has been registered over the unauthorised flying of a drone in the New Delhi district during the Parliament session. The second FIR has been registered on charges of criminal conspiracy to incite violence, with investigators claiming to have gathered significant evidence during the probe.
