A Mexican drug boss has been sentenced to life in prison by a US court. Ismael Zambada, known as “El Mayo”, agreed to a plea deal last year.
He admitted to smuggling millions of kilograms of cocaine over decades, as leader of the Sinaloa Cartel. He was arrested in 2024 in New Mexico.
