In Delhi, multiple FIRs have been lodged following the violent CJP “Sansad Chalo" protest, with reports suggesting that five cases have been registered so far and more may be added as the investigation progresses. Apart from Shivaji Park, cases have also been registered at Mahim, Dadar, Sion, Worli, Kalachowki, Bhoiwada and Wadala TT police stations. According to the police, the FIRs were filed for alleged violations of law and order and for holding protests without obtaining permission. Reports said five FIRs have been lodged so far, with the possibility of additional cases as the investigation continues. The cases reportedly cover allegations including rioting, assault on police personnel, obstruction of official work, vandalism, damage to public property and an alleged violation related to flying a drone. Some of the FIRs have been registered against unidentified persons, while investigators are using CCTV footage, mobile phone videos, drone footage and facial recognition technology to identify those allegedly involved in the violence. Reports also said the FIRs invoke provisions related to unlawful assembly, disobedience of lawful orders, rioting, violence, damage to public and private property and assault on public servants.
