Synopsis Shiv Sena (UBT) has approached the Supreme Court challenging the Lok Sabha Speaker's decision. The Speaker approved the merger of six MPs with the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena.
This decision was made on July 18, just before the Monsoon Session began. Senior advocate Devadatt Kamat mentioned the plea before the Chief Justice's bench.
The court indicated it would consider listing the matter for a hearing soon.
