'She Felt Intense Sexual Urge, Kissed Me': Hyderabad IPS Trainee Accused Of Harassment Attempts Suicide Published By, Last Updated: July 21, 2026, 10:38 IST Uday Krishna Reddy denied the allegations and claimed that he and the complainant had been in a consensual romantic relationship since June 2025. The trainee, Uday Krishna Reddy, allegedly consumed poison at a friend's residence in the city on Sunday evening. An IPS probationer at Hyderabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Police Academy (SVPNPA), who is facing allegations of harassment from a fellow trainee officer, has been hospitalised after a suspected suicide attempt, officials said. The trainee, Uday Krishna Reddy, allegedly consumed poison at a friend’s residence in the city on Sunday evening. He is suspected to have consumed a bottle of poison but authorities have not officially confirmed whether it was a suicide attempt. He is currently undergoing treatment and remains under medical observation. The incident comes days after a fellow IPS probationer lodged a complaint accusing Uday Krishna Reddy of stalking, assault, criminal intimidation and secretly recording a private video without her consent.
Based on her complaint, Hyderabad Police registered a case under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and relevant sections of the Information Technology Act. However, in a two-page note recovered after the incident, Uday Krishna Reddy denied the allegations and claimed that he and the complainant had been in a consensual romantic relationship since June 2025. In the note, he alleged that the relationship continued physically and emotionally even after the woman got married. He further claimed that she had repeatedly visited his room and initiated intimate interactions. “On 9.7.2026, she only came to my room telling she felt intense sexual urge. She only kissed me and hugged me without any consent," Uday Krishna Reddy wrote in the note, India Today reported. Uday Krishna Reddy also claimed that he had recorded certain interactions as evidence and later shared a video with the woman’s husband. He alleged that the complainant subsequently “manipulated everything" and falsely accused him of assault.
The woman, in her complaint, alleged that Uday Krishna Reddy sent her sexually abusive messages, forcibly accessed her phone, physically assaulted her on multiple occasions and secretly recorded a private video without her consent. She also accused him of attempting to damage her reputation and blackmailing her. Police said all allegations are under investigation and that further action will be based on the evidence collected during the probe.
