The discussions coincided with a massive protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi throughout the day. According to sources, the first meeting took place at around 11.50 AM, during which the CJP representatives put forward their demands. Sources said Nadda asked the delegation to submit their demands in writing. Around 4 PM, the representatives showed up again at the minister’s residence to submit a written memorandum. Key Demands By CJP The memorandum featured three key demands –– 1. Compensation for the families of students who allegedly died by suicide after the NEET paper leak, 2. The resignation of the Union Education Minister and 3. The release of activist Sonam Wangchuk. Wanghuk had joined the protests in late June, commencing an indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar to seek government accountability and demand the resignation of the Union Education Minister over the alleged irregularities in national-level exams. Sources, however, said no commitment was given to the CJP on any of its demands.

Instead, Nadda urged them to end their protests and cooperate with the administration to restore normalcy in the affected regions.
