JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha addressed several key issues during the Monsoon Session of Parliament. On reports that Bihar's Model Schools may be painted saffron, he said that education has no colour and should not be linked to politics or religion. He noted that the Model School initiative was started under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Responding to the NEET controversy, Jha said the government did not cover up the issue, action was taken against the accused, and the affected exam was cancelled and conducted again with improved security.
He also said students faced hardship but promised that shortcomings would be addressed. On the Ram Mandir donation issue, he said a committee has been formed and action is underway.
