The Congress has requested a 10-day extension for the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in Jharkhand. Congress state in-charge K. Raju said that with only nine days remaining, the mapping and digitisation of lakhs of voters are still incomplete. He warned that rushing the process could affect eligible voters' right to vote.
K. Raju also claimed that based on the state's adult population, Jharkhand should have around 2.7 crore voters and urged the Election Commission to allow more time, noting that similar extensions were granted in other states. The Election Commission has not yet responded to this request. Subscribe to India Today for NEW VIDEOS EVERY DAY and make sure to enable Push Notifications so you'll never miss a new video.
