PMK President Anbumani Ramadoss has released the party's Shadow Agriculture Budget in Chennai and called for major reforms in Tamil Nadu's agriculture sector. He claimed PMK has presented a Shadow Budget for 24 years and a Shadow Agriculture Budget for 19 years. Ramadoss said PMK's proposed agriculture budget has an outlay of ₹90,000 crore, compared to the Tamil Nadu government's agriculture allocation of around ₹15,000 crore.
He demanded higher MSP for paddy and sugarcane, greater investment in irrigation, spending 25% of the state's total budget on agriculture, and a farm loan waiver similar to Maharashtra's.
