The family of Aditya Sharma, a Deck Cadet in the Merchant Navy who was killed in the MT Settebello attack, has demanded justice and a transparent investigation. Speaking in Shimla, Aditya's father Rajesh Sharma said missiles struck the ship, killing his son and two other crew members. He claimed that despite assurances of an investigation, no inquiry report has been shared with the family after a month.
The family met Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and requested that the matter be raised in Parliament. According to the family, the Chief Minister assured them that the issue would be taken up during the Monsoon Session and that he would write to the Central Government seeking details of the investigation.
