Water is hitting the temple walls and covering parts of the stairs as levels rise. Landslides have been reported in Chamoli, Pauri, Uttarkashi and Dehradun's Maldevta area.
Seven people were rescued from the Moon River, while waterlogging affected commuters near the IT Park area. Schools are closed across Uttarakhand, more than 60 roads are blocked, and the weather department has issued a statewide alert for another 24 hours.
