Eeducation remains the most powerful instrument to transform lives and build a brighter future for students, said Minister of Backward Classes Welfare S. Savitha on Monday (July 20, 2026). She was speaking at the ‘Shining Stars Awards-2026’ programme organised by the Education Department at Jagarajupalli near Puttaparthi.
The Minister felicitated meritorious Class X and Intermediate students for their academic achievements and presented them with cash incentives and medals. She reiterated that the State government was committed to encouraging talent and creating opportunities for students to pursue higher goals.
She said that recognising academic excellence motivates youngsters to perform better and develop confidence. Savitha appealed to the parents and teachers to continue playing crucial role in shaping students’ careers. A total of 237 students received cash incentives, medals, and certificates during the programme.
District Collector A. Shyam Prasad, Puttaparthi MLA Palle Sindhura Reddy, former Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy, and leaders of the Coalition parties were present.
