In an interview with India Today, Congress MP and Tamil Nadu Congress Chief Manickam Tagore discussed the Opposition’s demand for a parliamentary debate on NEET and paper leaks. He said, “They only want to bulldoze their ideas into the Parliament,” while arguing that the government was not allowing the Opposition to raise questions or seek accountability from the Education Minister.
Tagore said the Lok Sabha was adjourned six times and that Opposition parties would meet to decide their next course of action. He also said, “152 paper leaks has happened in fast past 10 years.” On Opposition coordination, he referred to the participation of 23 parties and addressed the DMK’s position. On delimitation, Tagore said the Congress had not changed its stand and called the process discriminatory and unfair to southern India.
