Kharge alleged that "supporters of chanda chori were sitting on the treasury bench. He also slammedd the government of cracking down on protesting students, referring to the police action at Delhi's Jantar Mantar.
"Another pressing issue is the government trying to silence thousands of students by lathi-charging them at Jantar Mantar," he said, triggering loud protests in the House before proceedings were adjourned.
