The monsoon session of Parliament is set to begin with the Prime Minister scheduled to deliver a customary address, appealing for debate over disruption. The Lok Sabha Speaker and the Parliamentary Affairs Minister have also urged Members of Parliament to maintain decorum and ensure a productive session. The session is expected to witness multiple flashpoints as the opposition plans to question the government on several issues.
A Congress spokesperson stated that the opposition is united in demanding accountability and answers. Key issues to be raised include the alleged Ram Mandir donation theft, the NEET paper leak, and the ongoing protests by students demanding the resignation of a Union Minister. The opposition will also raise questions regarding the government's handling of an activist's hunger strike, E20 petrol, and the Election Commission's new online Form Six declaration for voters.
Concurrently, the government plans to introduce multiple bills, including the Supreme Court Amendment bill and the Vande Mataram bill.
