According to the police, no permission has been sought or granted for the march.
Metro station exits near the venue, including Patel Chowk and Central Secretariat, have been closed. The national capital has been divided into fifteen security zones to maintain law and order, with police warning of strict action against anyone attempting to march towards the parliament.
