Union Minister Chirag Paswan halted his convoy to assist an injured woman lying by the roadside while travelling from Amritsar to Jalandhar in Punjab, ensuring she was rushed to a hospital for timely medical treatment. The incident took place in Jalandhar district, where Paswan's VIP convoy was passing.
According to officials, the minister noticed the woman injured in a road accident and immediately ordered his convoy to stop. Paswan directed members of his team to transport the injured woman to a nearby hospital in one of his official vehicles.
He also instructed officials to ensure that she received prompt medical attention. Videos circulating on social media showed Paswan stopping his convoy and personally overseeing arrangements for the woman's evacuation to the hospital. Sources said the Union minister left the spot only after receiving confirmation that the woman had been admitted to the hospital and her treatment had begun.
