वाराणसी में काशी रेलवे स्टेशन के ठीक बगल में स्थित गंज शहीदा मस्जिद को लेकर उठा विवाद थमने का नाम नहीं ले रहा है। रेलवे ने मस्जिद के अवैध निर्माण का हवाला देते हुए ध्वस्तकरण का नोटिस लगाया था। लेकिन मुस्लिम पक्ष की तरफ से पेश किए गए दस्तावेजों की वजह से ना सिर्फ रेलवे ने नोटिस हटाया बल्कि ध्वस्तकरण के फैसले को भी टाल दिया।
लेकिन मुस्लिम पक्ष कानूनी तौर पर इस लड़ाई को आगे लड़ने की तैयारी में जुटा है। The controversy surrounding the Ganj Shahida Mosque, located directly next to the Kashi Railway Station in Varanasi, continues unabated.
