The Delhi High Court issued notice on a plea filed by actor Naga Chaitanya over what his side described as defamatory content and false stories about his relationship with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The plea also sought protection of his personality rights against the use of his image and videos. According to the actor's counsel, advocate Vaibhav Gaggar, the bench of Justice Jyoti Singh on May 29 issued an interim injunction against the use of Chaitanya's name and images and also issued notice to websites that hosted allegations linked to his relationship with Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
The court order was not available at the time of reporting. The lawyer said the bench had directed that it would issue interim orders. Read Full Story What happened in court During the hearing, Gaggar told the court that some online content had falsely portrayed the actor as having cheated on Samantha and claimed that he had destroyed her career. “This is trolling, this is not fair criticism,” the advocate told the court. Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s relationship In October 2021, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya announced their separation on social media after four years of marriage.
In their statement, they said that after much deliberation and thought, they had decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue their own paths. They also said they were fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of their relationship and would always hold a special bond.
