While the rebel members have appointed their legislative leader and chief whip, they are still awaiting official recognition from the Speaker.
The rebel group has already declared its support for the Democratic Alliance and requested separate seating arrangements in the lower house. Meanwhile, opposition parties boycotted the all-party meeting to protest the invitation extended to these rebel members, whose official status remains undecided.
