Over 100 employees of the Andhra Non-Gazetted Government Officers (APNGOs) donated blood to the patients admitted to the government medical college in Srikakulam. Along with APNGOs, Pensioners Joint Action Committee Chairman Chowdary Purushottam Naidu, SSR Trust founder and industrialist Sura Srinivasa Rao inaugurated a blood donation camp and distributed fruits to blood donors.
Rao said that the blood donation would save many lives of patients of poor and middle class families as they cannot afford to buy blood in private
blood banks. He said that the Trust would hold at least 10 medical camps in next two months to help more number of needy patients. Naidu asked
the association leaders to hold blood donation camps in all mandal headquarters to create awareness on blood donation among people living in semi urban and rural areas.
