The Delhi High Court has declined to pass an interim order regarding an activist who was shifted to Safdarjung Hospital on the twenty-second day of his hunger strike. The activist was moved from the protest site at Jantar Mantar. His wife filed a plea challenging the hospitalisation, asserting his health is fine and requesting a transfer to Medanta Hospital.
However, the court ruled that the government has the right to keep him at Safdarjung Hospital. The activist's senior advocate announced plans to challenge the order before a two-judge bench and mention the matter before the Chief Justice.
