YSRCP hands over ₹10 lakh aid to Kranthi Kumar’s family

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Sunday (July 19, 2026) handed over a cheque of ₹10 lakh, sanctioned by former Chief Minister and party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, to the family of Perupogu Kranthi Kumar, who allegedly died by suicide following alleged harassment by suspended Krishna Lanka Circle Inspector S.S.V.V. Nagaraju.
The cheque was presented to the family members at their residence by YSRCP SC Cell president and former MLA T.J.R. Sudhakar Babu, NTR district president Devineni Avinash, former MP Nandigam Suresh, former MLAs Malladi Vishnu and Monditoka Jagan Mohan Rao, State working president Kommu Kanaka Rao, corporator M.D. Raheena Naheed and other party leaders.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Sudhakar Babu said that Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy had visited the family on July 2 and assured them of full support. He stated that the State government failed to deliver justice to the family or provide them with benefits due under the law.
He accused the government of neglecting Dalit welfare and criticised its handling of law and order, alleging discrimination against Scheduled Castes and Dalit Christians.
